Learning About Diabetes Diagnosis, Treatment and Research

Welcome to my site, my name is Jess Indaja. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes after struggling with my weight throughout my teen years and adulthood. My doctor informed me about all of the dangers associated with my diet and exercise habits. I was encouraged to change the way I ate and moved in an effort to reverse my blood sugar problem. I made the changes, but still struggle with controlling my blood sugar. After going through this trying situation, I decided to make a site that may help others with problems associated with type 2 diabetes. I will discuss diagnostic procedures, treatments and medical research concerning this disease. I hope you visit often and learn all you can to control your type 2 diabetes or help others with this condition.

Say Goodbye To Unsightly Hairs With These 2 All-Natural DIY Masks

by Carla Hudson

Are you suffering from abnormal hair growth on your face or body, a condition known as hirsutism? If so, you're not alone. In some cases, this is caused by excess male hormones in the body. Sometimes, it is a result of certain medications that you may be taking. Regardless of the reason, unwanted hair growth can be a very embarrassing problem. Here are a couple of at-home remedies that you can do to help eradicate the growth of unwanted hair:

1. Papaya and Turmeric Facial Paste

Raw papaya has the ability to weaken hair follicles, which helps to prevent re-growth. This is thanks to the enzyme known as papain that is found within raw papaya. When combined with turmeric, it will not only help eliminate the hair, but it will also help prevent infections because of the antibacterial properties. Here's what you need to do:

  • Crush some raw papaya until it becomes a fine texture.
  • Once crushed well, add just a pinch of turmeric and mix it in well.
  • Apply the paste directly to the area with unwanted hair.
  • Leave it on until it dries completely, at which time you can scrub it off.
  • Do this once a week for optimal results in stopping the re-growth of hair.

2. Gram Flour Facial Mask

In Indian countries, gram flour is a common staple used to help remove unwanted hair. It helps to inhibit hair growth, especially when it is combined with a touch of turmeric. Not only does a gram flour mask help to eliminate facial hairs, but it can also help exfoliate the skin. Now, there are multiple ways you can make a facial mask with gram flour. You can opt to add milk or yogurt to help create a creamier mask. However, the most basic mask consists of a little bit of water, ½ cup of gram flour and one teaspoon of turmeric. Here's what you need to do:

  • Mix the ingredients together, using just enough water to create a relatively thick mixture.
  • When you apply the paste to your face, make sure to apply in the direction that the hair grows.
  • Leave it on the face until completely dry.
  • Once dry, wet your fingertips and rub the paste off of your face in the opposite direction of hair growth.
  • Rinse with warm water, followed by cold water.
  • Pat dry and apply your favorite moisturizer.

When you feel like it's time for a more permanent solution, you may want to consider laser hair removal. Contact an expert like The Sheen Vein Institute in your area to determine if you're a candidate and to learn the pros and cons of the procedure.
